چکیده

In this paper, an experimental study investigating the effect of geometrical shape circular and rectangular pin fins on heat transfer performance boiling phenomenon is presented. A pool experiment in HFE-7100 dielectric working fluid under atmospheric pressure was conducted. Boiling curves coefficients different test cases were plotted to evaluate as well captured images samples. Two quantities, flow resistance wetted perimeter, calculated understand behaviour physics due variation fin and, hence, their performance. It found that cooling higher than fins, despite having a slightly 4% 7%, respectively. This believed be result longer perimeter up 27%, whereby nucleation site has probability generating more bubbles same surface area. For tested modified with 196 144 average performances have differences 3.54 1.58 times larger,

Pool Boiling Heat Transfer and Bubble Dynamics Over Plain and Enhanced Microchannels

Pool boiling is of interest in high heat flux applications because of its potential for removing large amount of heat resulting from the latent heat of evaporation and little pressure drop penalty for circulating coolant through the system. However, the heat transfer performance of pool boiling systems is not adequate to match the cooling ability provided by enhanced microchannels operating und...

Experimental Investigation in Pool Boiling Heat Transfer of Pure/Binary Mixtures and Heat Transfer Correlations

Nucleate pool boiling heat transfer coefficient have been experimentally measured on a horizontal rod heater for various liquid binary mixtures. Measurements are based on more than three hundred data points on a wide range of concentrations and heat fluxes. In this investigation, it has been confirmed that the heat transfer coefficient in boiling solutions are regularly less than those in p...

Analysis of pool boiling heat transfer over porous surfaces

A semi-empirical model for pool boiling over porous surfaces is presented. The pressure drop across the porous surface is estimated using Darcy 's law. The signi®cance of the latent heat ̄ux contribution for highly porous surfaces is examined. Two nucleation factors are de®ned and correlated in terms of measurable quantities using literature data. An expression for the total heat ̄ux in terms o...
